Volunteer handbook

We want everyone who volunteers with us to have a rewarding and enjoyable experience. To support you, and help make the most of your time with us, we have prepared a Volunteer Handbook to provide further information about volunteering.

(You can also download the Volunteer Handbook in English or in Gaelic as a pdf. Please note – these documents are not fully accessible.)

Safety guidelines

We advise that you read the safety guidelines for volunteers undertaking outdoor work, in order to familiarise yourself with precautions you can take before going out, and while, on site. These guidelines can also found in the Volunteer Handbook and are available to download as a pdf.

All volunteer activities undertaken with us are risk assessed and have controls in place to reduce and mitigate identified risks.

Volunteering policy

Our Volunteering Policy outlines our commitment to, and support of, volunteers. We have spent time and care in planning how volunteers will be welcomed and supported by us. We are committed to treat all volunteers fairly and consistently and support each individual in return for their valuable commitment to the project.

The policy is available in English and Gaelic, following the link below.
